Day 2: Ho Chi Minh City– Mekong Delta – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (B, L)
The tour starts at your hotel at around 08:00am, from where we drive to Cai Be. On the way to Cai Be, you can see green rice fields stretching towards the horizon. After arrival in Cai Be, we take a sampan(local transport) cruise to visit the rice cake producer, rice paper workshop and the popcorn/coconut candy mill. After the production visit we go to the Cai Be floating market, where sellers and buyers are bargaining and exchanging their goods from their boats. We then visit the Ba Kiet ancient house, where we also have lunch. After lunch we take a boat to visit the An Binh islands (Vinh Long). On An Binh there will be a chance to enjoy the local tropical fruits while listening to the sound of “Southern Vietnamese folk music” performed by the islanders. We then continue our drive to Cant Tho, where we check-in at our hotel. In the evening you will have dinner and time to explore the area by you self. Overnight stay in CanTho.

Day 3: Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh City.  (B,L)
Start from Ninh Kieu boat quay, where we cruise along the small and picturesque canels and stop to see the Cai Rang floating market (the nicest one with heaps of rowing boats). We stop to enjoy the beautiful scenery and the daily activities of the locals who lives along the Mekong canals. Walking through the village to visit a rice husking mill and a rice/noodle shop, where we observe how it is made. Later on driving back to Saigon. Overnight stay in Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 4: Cu Chi Tunnel & Saigon City Tour. Flight  Flight Ho Chi Minh City – Hue. (B,L)
8.00am Pick-up at your hotel, you enjoy a half day excursion to the famous Cu Chi tunnels. This network of tunnels, which stretched for over 200km, became legendary during the 1960s.
The Cu Chi tunnels played a vital part in the U.S.-Vietnam War in that they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area only 30 to 40 km from former Saigon. At its height, the tunnel system stretched from Saigon to the Cambodian border. The network, parts of which were several levels deep, included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centre and kitchens.
Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and feel of what underground life during the war must have been like. The tunnels have been widened for our benefit (otherwise we would not be able to enter them!) For those interested there is even the opportunity to fire off rounds from an AK47 or MK16 at the nearby rifle range.
Lunch is arranged at the local restaurant.
Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, is the biggest and most crowned city of Vietnam, warm year round and hospitable people. This afternoon we visit the bustling Ben Thanh Market - a fantastic place for bargains of every kind! There are several interesting sights in Saigon . The War Remnants Museum has a wealth of images from the wars, the most moving being a gallery entitled Requiem which is dedicated to Vietnamese and foreign journalists and photographers who perished during the French and American conflicts. The Reunification Palace was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until April 30, 1975 when the North Vietnamese tanks came crashing through the front gates, bringing the U.S.-Vietnam War to a dramatic end. Close to the Palace some of the best examples of French colonial architecture are represented in the forms of Notre Dame Cathedral and the Central Post Office. Notre Dame Cathedral was built between 1877 and 1883, and the stones used to create it were exported in its entirety from France. Next to the cathedral stands the Central Post Office, finished in 1891. It is another fine example of French architecture and is Vietnam s largest post office. For all of its French colonial history, Ho Chi Minh City is by far Vietnam s most modern city. It has numerous shopping malls, cinemas, discotheques and a bewildering number of bars. Travel to Tan Son Nhat International Airport for the flight to Hue. Overnight in Hue.

    Day 5:  Hue City Tour (B, L)
Breakfast at hotel, we then set out for the exploration of Hue s famous highlights, including the Citadel and the Forbidden Purple City. Built in the 19th century by the Nguyen dynasty, the City was home to the former Emperors of Vietnam from 1802 until 1945. We embark on a boat for cruise upstream on the Perfume River, viewing the city and the tranquil villages on the riverbank. We will walk up to visit the Thien Mu pagoda, a nicely located pagoda, overlooks the Perfume River and the beautiful scenery beyond, where you get to learn more about the Buddhism in Vietnam.  One of the most poignant displays here is a car belonging to a former monk, who in 1963, drove to Saigon and set himself alight to protest against the South Vietnamese regime and its treatment of Buddhists. Disembark the board for a visit the elaborate mausoleum of former emperor Tu Duc, built decades before its occupant s death the tomb was used as a palace retreat before the emperors final resting place. On return to the city, we then take a walk to the bustling Dong Ba Market and pass many fantastic eating spots where visitors have a chance to sample some local delicacies. Overnight in Hue.

Day 6: Land transfer Hue – Danang – Hoian (B)
This morning say good bye Hue and embark on southern bound journey to  Hoian – the old trading town. Along the way though we will stop at Lang Co beach for coffee (by your own ) and refreshments. From here we head up to the Hai Van pass, stopping at the top to take in the stunning views north over Lang Co beach and south over Danang city. Continuing on our way down the other side and into Da nang, where we will stop at the beautiful Non Nuoc Beach and Cham Museum, which contains the finest collection of Cham sculpture in the world. We also visit the Marble Mountains, five sacred hills containing dozens of Buddhist shrines. Arrive in Hoian ancient town, check in, relax. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 7: Hoian Ancient Town. Flight Danang – Hanoi. (B,L)
We spend the morning to discover Hoian.
Take a walk tour to explore Hoian ancient town, once a major Asian trading port in the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Hoi An’s architecture and relaxed lifestyle have changed little over the years. Take a leisurely walking tour of the ancient town center and visit the sites of former merchants’ homes, a 400 year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, and a Chinese Communal Hall. Believed to have been settled no less than 2,200 years ago, Hoi An was known as Faifo to early Western traders.  Hoi An was one of the major ports of Southeast Asia from the 17th to 19th centuries. Chinese, Japanese, French, English, Spanish, Portuguese and other traders had small communities here, and the old wooden houses, bridges and temples that remain are reminiscent of a Vietnam of centuries past. This unique old trading town slowly became isolated due to its river silting up and by destroyed rail lines, leaving it untouched by war and frozen in time. Nowadays, this absolutely charming and relaxed town has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The town is also famous for its shops in particular it s large number of tailors. If you wanted, you could have a whole new wardrobe made for you here.
Then we take s short flight to Hanoi. Check in & Stay overnight in Hanoi.

    Day 8: Hanoi city tour. (B, L)
8:30am: Tour guide and driver of Indochina Leisure will pick you up at hotel to take part in Hanoi City Tour, firstly visit Ho Chi Minh’s Complex including his Mausoleum, his house on stilt, the botanical garden and the Presidential palace while learning about his life and revolutionary activities. Around 11:00am,arriving at the Temple of Literature. This is the combination of the Confucius Temple worshiping Confucius which was built in 1070 and the first Royal National university in Vietnam built 6 years later in 1076. Considered as "an escape" from the bustling city, this temple and its beautiful garden provide an opportunity to learn more about education in Vietnam since 1000 years ago until recent history.
