    2.1. Introduction
    This is a full day trip combining a bike tour out of town with some sightseeing and an exciting elephant ride to/from Tad Sae Waterfall (or alternative route in dry season). This unspoiled valley is one of the most beautiful places in the area. Until recently, wild elephants and tigers roamed this valley.

     

    2.2. Tour highlights
    This full day Elephant riding & trekking combination trip from our Elephant Camp to/from the That Se Waterfall & Khmu Hill tribe Village, exploring the most unspoiled nature with Asia preservation elephant ride and trekking through a forest path, splendid scenery along Namkhan river is perfect place to experience, exploring the Herri Mohot, retrace a foot-step of French explorer who first discover the Angkor Wat to today world, experience the elephant trek with local boat visiting local villages surrounding Luang Prabang is unforgettable. 

     

    2.3. Full Itinerary
    After crossing the small river you will be introduced to our Asian Elephants and go out for a scenic ride. Enjoy the new perspective and the wonderful nature on this 1-1,5 hr. Elephant ride. A stunning landscape, quietness, and the lush nature gives you a relaxed stay on the back of the protected Elephant. Make your way through forests and along the Nam Khan river up to/from the amazing Tad Sae waterfalls. Here you can hang out for lunch and some swimming and bathing in the refreshing cool cascades. After your lunch you will find yourself discovering the tropic surrounding.  Our half day trekking will lead you out into a Khmu village where you get an insight in every day life and culture of this hill tribe. Most of them are farmers and fishermen and live from their slash and burn tradition. They even speak a different language here and your guide will help to ask questions.

    The countryside waits for you with great views to the more than 1600 meter high mountain range which is covered with dense jungle. It is astonishing and relaxing atmosphere. A short hike along a steep mountain range will bring you to the newly opened Jungle Camp and the Trail of Falls, where another swim in a crystal clear river is a wonderful option. Have a drink and finish your day of activity after another 45 min. of walking to your starting point, the Adventure and Elephant Camp. The attached Restaurant is a great place to take a look back into the mountains, Afternoon transfer back into town. Tour ends around 17.00pm.

    Total trekking takes about 3hrs plus
    n the dry season we change the Elephant trail to visit a nearby village – than lunch in Resort
    Tour could be join set as join group with other travelers due to limit elephant
    Tadsae waterfall has low water in dry season December July
    Child prices are not available, adult prices apply to all travelers
    We are working with animals and in the nature, time changes may appear at any time. (Bring shoes that can get wet!!)  The waterfall is dry during February–August. 
    Elephant rides will take a different route through river and village.
